Week 23

Playing the final game of the regular season, the Allwood Finishers out-doubled the Parksville Legion Shooters 18 to 15. Led by Harry Van Heerwaarden, who won all five of his games, the Finishers finished in second place overall in the A-Division. Top scorer for the Finishers was Larry Fuller with a 138, 125, 101x2 and 100x2. Mike Jacobs threw 118 and 114. Proving it’s not what you throw in the middle, but what you throw in the end, Legion Shooter Jim Fraser, didn’t get a single noteworthy score yet won all five of his games. Leading the scoreboard for the Shooters was Captain Lloyd Ausland with a 140. Viviane Papineau shot 115 and a 100.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Stumbling to start, the Cascadia Bristle Bashers rallied in the second half of the game to overtake the Qualicum Legion Short Sighted Crew 19 to 14. Terry Strawson won all five of his singles, followed closely by Tedd Ducker and Don Enockson, both winning four of their five games. Topping the scores for the Bristle Bashers was Richard Rempel, who shot 120, 102 and 100x7 (yes, seven). Most games and high score for the Short Sighted Crew went to John Eyre, who won four of five games played and shot a 162, as well as 103 and 100. Ernie Berrow ended his night shooting a 133 and winning the final game of the night for the Crew.
March 13 is the Round Robin Championship games:
A Division at the Parksville Legion and B Division at the Qualicum Legion.
