Problems with the Schedule Print

You may have noticed that the schedule handed out tonight does not match the schedule on the website. Please disregard the paper schedule you received and follow the one on our homepage. A new paper schedule will be distributed shortly.

Website Update Print
Sunday, 13 September 2015 15:49

With the new season upon us, I would like to remind all the players about the slight changes to the way ‘marks’ are recorded. Any time a player scores 100 or more or doubles-out on 81 or higher, it needs to be CLEARLY written down on the score sheet. The new website enables us to accurately track our marks over the course of the season. Therefore, you will be able to see how you stack up against the other players in the league beyond simply wins and losses.

Another new feature of the website is the player rating system. Victories and defeats are weighted depending on the quality of the opponent. For example, if you are the fifteenth ranked player in the league and you beat the number one seed, your points on the rating system will increase a lot more than if you had won against someone lower ranked than you. On the other hand, if you are a highly ranked player but lose to someone near the bottom of the table, your rating points will plummet.

For the purists out there, the tradition rankings based on wins and losses is still a part of the league’s website. Find statistics and click on the link called ‘Player Win Ratio’ and you will find everyone’s record.

I hope this clears up a few things before the league starts on Tuesday. Good luck and shoot well!

2015 / 2016 Schedule Print

Hey Everyone

With the help of Mike Driscoll I was able to put together and upload the schedule for the upcoming season. I stayed up late entering all the matches into the website’s database, so I haven’t had a chance to look for any errors. If you find any, please let me know ASAP and I’ll make the appropriate corrections.

The season is set to start on September 15 and the matches begin at 7:30pm. Captains make sure you have your line-up written down on the score sheet and are ready to play.

There are a few more things I need to do, for example, enter all the players into the system and upload the rules for our league before the website is fully functional. However, once the season has begun, I think you’ll find the advanced statistics that come along with the new website will add a lot to your dart throwing experience.
